Pinfeathers Galore
Канада
Добавлен 4 фев 2023
Hello, welcome to my channel. I'm very happy to have you here.
Originally this was just my private collection of videos I videoed for my own viewing pleasure. Seeing people enjoy this as much as I do, makes me even happier! Thank you.
In my videos, I take the sheaths off of "ripe" Pinfeathers, releasing the feather underneath.
I used to do this with my fingers but due to me needing to keep my fingernails short, it didn't feel good enough for my birds. So I switched to tweezers. So welcome to the *very first ever* RUclips channel where we desheath Pinfeathers with tweezers!
I've been doing this for a very long time - about 30 years now. If you want to do this, I'd recommend introducing tweezers to your birds slowly and at their pace of comfort. Make sure they're blunt and rounded to prevent any injuries. Stay calm and focused, and hope both you and your precious bird can enjoy it.

Today we have a sensitive Byron! He loves finger head scratches, but filming with one hand and trying to get those pinnies with the others is hard. Especially since he prefers that I use both hands at the same time. Usually I do get them pins -one thumb strokes his head and the other gently scratches under his chin and cheeks...but I can't keep doing that because there'd be no videos (hence why...

Hope everyone's doing well! Here is a quick scratch with His Majesty Cincin.
Cincin with lots of pinfeathers!

Cincin has a head full of feathers because I've been sick for about a month now! Feeling better but while I was sick I was careful not to break any of his pins. I've been waiting patiently until I had a bit of time to harvest this garden. Unfortunately he was grumpy today and just wanted me to do his cheeks!
Pinfeathers (no bird)

Here are 2 feathers I've found on 2 different occasions. The blue tail feather was mostly likely pulled out from a fight, while Cincin's stub pinfeather looks like it either dropped off itself, or he pulled it out. I just "inbox" these up to see what's inside :) ignore my stuffy voice...I've been ill the last month!
Happy New Year! (With Athena)

Apologies, this video only has 2 pinfeathers and a whole lot of me gushing over how cute Athena is. I've been pretty sick for the last 2 weeks so not much has been happening. also - sneak peek of Jasper!
Byron again!

Here's Byron! He's a cheeky little boy who prefers to be held and scratched with my fat fingers over tweezers.

Pinfeather sheaths from Byron (no bird)
are you sure she's ok? his nose looks a little weird- does she have mites or something?
That’s my name too
Dinosaurs are pretty awesome.

손으로 해주면 더 좋은데....
😮
She doesn't look like she's enjoying this. Give her something bristley and let her rub her head on it.
Ahhhhh you are ahhhhhhhhh pooop 😂😂😂just kidding I love it ❤❤❤
Ever since I found your channel, I've been obsessed! Great job providing relief to your precious feathery friends. Poor little girl is having a difficult mold ;-;
People in the comments thinking they know what a bird is thinking lol
That's one great video and one very relieved and happy bird.
Thank you :)
Frustrating! Does anyone know why she uses tweezers??
😮😮😮
А я в детстве вообще их вырывала... 🤦🏻♀️Думала болеет попугайчик... бедный 😅
бригаду в студию
I think sctraching with hands is going to be better for taking the pinfeathers off
????
Isn't it better to just use your fingers or are the pins too small to roll between fingers?
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Good job, but please don’t forget those ones on her forehead.
Wet the tweezers periodically. They’ll grip the sheath better, like salive on a bird’s tongue when they preen
She might need antibiotic ointment on her nose. It looks scaly which can be a sign of a dermal health issue.
Oh yes please, more delightful media to help me relax and fall asleep to. 😊
Thank u for posting these videos & helping your birdies .. it is therapeutic to everyone involved . I just know Athena loves her mommy <3 I could watch hours of this specifically how you do it!!!
What are you doing
Poor Athena, looks like she needs some gentle help with all of those pinnies on top of her head.
Pimple popping
Yesss 🤤
Poor Athena, that’s a hard molt. I think she’s a tad irritable. I don’t blame her ❤.
More of this plz 🥹
Thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! I Athena is indeed in need of a head makeover and facial! She will be her beautiful self soon.
Yep, she's super rough and sensitive right now. I can only do little bits on her :)
My green cheek definitely gets moody and sensitive during molting! @@pinfeathersgalore
@@mandarr3853 yea! Poor birdies having to go through molts so often!
Fuck this was a unsatisfying video
Ngl i haven't got a single clue of what you're doing but somehow it seems like you're making it harder than it should be 😂
Hahahahaha it looks like it but in reality I have to maintain a certain pressure and not nudge any of the pinfeathers (aka anger bombs) so that the biride doesn't fly away😂 it has to be gentle enough that the bird feels good, but to take off the keratin is very difficult. I wonder if that's why my channel is the only one using tweezers :D
@@pinfeathersgalore hahaha okok yeah I can imagine it's not that pleasant for the bird , although he looks happy. So are you removing the whole thing or it's just breaking it up so it's easier for the bird to remove himself ? Don't have a bird just curious 😊
@@JstKingx I agree! I kinda think of it as a sore pimple, especially at the base where there are still nerve endings sometimes :)
What for?
Hurry up id iot you have terrible hands
Try to get the bird use to your hands and that way you can use your fingers to rub them lightly they come right off. One way is hand feeding but if you can't hand feed spoon feed it may take a couple tries of using different spoons different sizes and length to find out what the bird isn't afraid of than after that you keep spoon feeding it. Important thing is to be quiet while the bird is scared anything that scares and he hears he isn't gonna like so it's always good to be quiet till and calm and just hold it there. Slowly work your hand down lower and lower or switch to a shorter spoon. Keep feeding until your hand is closer and closer everyday, and than try hand. Trust me the bird won't hurt you the bird is actually very gentle he's not gonna bite hard cause he doesn't know what it is so remember that and don't move your hand just keep calm and trust him they can feel your vibe and know if your scared or not and if you do all this they will eat off your hand I trained mine within 1 to 2 weeks some birds may take longer so don't be dispared by it just keep trying to be patient with it.
So unsatisfying
It all looks painful
Useless...
Poor thing my Yoshi (he was a blue ironically) never had this problem
Доверие попугая просто на 200%
🫳🏼🐦❤
It looks like the bird equivalent of acne.
He's like pull it already stop pricking me
🫣
what new kind of satisfactory pimple popping video is this
It's the VERY first of its kind - pinfeather popping with tweezers!! Welcome!
I was terrified you were just going to pull them out🫣
何してるか全くわからん😮

everyone: looking at pimples* I'm looking at a parrot's pupil:
